Jacob Cortés and Abril Torrent stand out in the Santa Coloma de Farners marathon
The runner from Capmany, Jacob Cortés, and the runner from Roses, Abril Torrent, achieved excellent results in the Santa Coloma de Farners marathon, which was held last Sunday. Cortés finished in third place with a time of 4 hours and 36 minutes, just one minute behind the winner. On the other hand, Torrent was in second place in the women’s category with a time of 5 hours and 14 minutes, half an hour behind the first place.
The previous successes of Cortés and Torrent
Cortés and Torrent arrived in Santa Coloma de Farners in great shape after excelling in the Empordà Trail Series by Procasa, a mountain racing league in the Alt Empordà. Torrent was proclaimed champion after being the most regular in the three tests of the circuit: L’Embruixada Trail, La Balcó de L’Empordà and the Fox Trail. On the other hand, Cortés achieved the second position in the general classification.
