A cycle that connects experiences
From April 2 to May 8, Tarragona will host the sixteenth edition of the conferences ‘Experience of journalist’, an initiative promoted by the Tarragona Demarcation of the College of Journalists of Catalonia, with the support of Repsol and the collaboration of the Santa Tecla Health, Social and Teaching Network.
A dynamic and interactive format
The sessions will take place in the Sala Zero, located at C. Sant Magí, 12, at 8 pm, in an informal atmosphere ideal for journalists, students and the general public. This afterwork schedule is intended to be a meeting place for those interested in the world of journalism.
A promising start
The first conference will be given by Glòria Serra, a recognized figure in journalism, who will open the cycle on April 2. Serra, with a trajectory dating to 1987, is known for his work in La Sexta and as a columnist in La Vanguardia.
You see that inspire
On April 10, Marc Marginedas will share his experiences as a correspondent in conflict areas, providing a unique perspective thanks to his extensive career that includes the abduction of the Islamic State.
Tino Soriano, a renowned photojournalist, will take part on April 24, presenting his images and stories that have marked his career, including recognitions such as the World Press Photo.
Finally, on May 8, Mercè Folch, with a long experience in the media and winner of an Ondas, will close the cycle talking about his work on Catalunya Ràdio and his coverage of social issues.
A space for reflection and dialogue
Esteve Giralt, President of the Tarragona Demarcation of the College of Journalists, emphasized that each speaker provides a different view but share a commitment to the demand and journalistic rigor. “We seek to create an atmosphere that promotes interaction and debate,” said Giralt.
History of a consolidated cycle
Since its inception in 2009, the journalist’s experience has been a platform for the knowledge and exchange of ideas, with only one interruption due to pandemic in 2021. Admission is free, subject to the available capacity.
