A new challenge at sea
This Friday, May 17, Juan Carlos will embark on an exciting day at the Sanxenxo Nautical Club. After his last frustrated visit due to a cold, the former monarch is ready to resume his passion for 6-meter boats. If the weather permits, the ‘Rascal’ will witness his triumphant return to the sea.
An exceptional host
Pedro Campos, the shipowner, sailor and president of the club, is Juan Carlos’s host during his stay in Sanxenxo. Campos, known as the Galician guardian angel of the emeritus, provides hospitality and company to the former monarch and his daughter Elena. Since his arrival at the airport, Campos is present to receive them and lodges them in his house. In addition, he accompanies Juan Carlos in one of his favorite activities: enjoying local cuisine.
A seafood feast
During their visit to Sanxenxo, Juan Carlos and Pedro Campos enjoyed the restaurant ‘D’Berto’, known for its exquisite culinary offering. Although prices can be high, this is not a problem for the former monarch, who has a fortune spread throughout the world. Juan Carlos, known for his taste for seafood, especially enjoyed the green sauce, his favorite, which was prepared especially for him. After the meal, Campos was in charge of carrying the remains in tupperware, perhaps to share with his wife or so that Juan Carlos could enjoy a late-night dinner.
An unusual friendship
The relationship between Juan Carlos and Pedro Campos is unique. Campos has become the servant and driver of the former monarch, accompanying him in all his activities and providing him with his support. This unusual picture reflects the close friendship they have developed over the years.
A new chapter at sea
Juan Carlos’s participation in the Spanish 6-meter boat league marks a new chapter in his life. Despite the challenges and setbacks, the former monarch demonstrates his passion for the sea and his determination to continue enjoying this exciting activity.
