A unique and charismatic race
This Monday, April 8, the registrations for the 14th edition of the Rialp Matxicots, one of the most appreciated mountain competitions of the Pallars Sobira, recognized as beloved in the Catalan territory according to the Ultres Catalunya portal, began. The appointment will take place on the weekend of September 14 and 15, and the registration period will end on August 15 or when the available places run out.
Limited places and benefits for previous participants
This year, only 750 lucky people among all the modalities will be able to participate in this very unique test. As a novelty, from April 8 to 15, runners who have participated in previous editions of the race will have preferential access to reduced prices. From April 16, the remaining places will be open to the public.
A race that transcends sport
The Rialp Matxicots is not only a sporting challenge in the mountains, but also contributes to promoting tourism in the municipality of Rialp and the region of Pallars Sobirà. In addition, the commitment to the preservation of the environment is a characteristic present in all the activities of the event.
Various modes for all levels
The race includes three different modes: the main event, the Trail, of 50 kilometers and a positive gradient of 4,500 meters; the Middle, of 21 kilometers and 1,500 meters of positive gradient; and the Popular modality, 10 kilometers and 700 meters of positive gradient.
Integration and solidarity with the youngest
Another noteworthy feature is the integration of the Rialp Matxixics, an event aimed at boys and girls aged 3 to 16, now in its 11th edition. This event has a solidarity character and offers routes of 1.5, 3.5 and 5 kilometers between the mountains of Rialp.
