Letizia, the queen consort of Spain, has arrived in Guatemala on a cooperation trip to learn first hand the work that the volunteers are carrying out through the projects financed by the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation for Development (AECID ). This is a task that before the abdication of Juan Carlos I was carried out by Queen Sofia, but Letizia has decided to continue with this commitment.

Letizia arrived at La Aurora International Airport at 2:15 am this Wednesday and was officially received at the National Palace of Culture by the first lady of Guatemala, Lucrecia Peinado. During their stay, Letizia and Lucrecia will attend a meeting to address mental health challenges and learn about the initiatives being carried out in this area.
