An event yearned by all
From April 24 to 27, Tarragona will be filled with vibrant rhythms with the 30th edition of the Dixieland Festival. This annual event brings together a wide variety of artists and musicians, with a total of 46 performances representing 14 different countries. The appointment becomes a meeting place for lovers of local music and culture, consolidating itself as one of the most anticipated festivals of the Tarragona spring.
A fully musical start
The opening of the festival will take place on Thursday, April 24 at 12:30 pm with a performance by Small River Dixie, which will cross the streets of the city until reaching the Central Market. The official opening will take place later at the Tarragona Theater with Andrea Motis, who will present a new trio made up of violin, mandolin and percussion. Tickets for the inaugural concert, which will be held at 8 pm, can be purchased for € 25.
Jazz I CIR in Harmonia
On Friday, April 25, Jazzson’s Five will offer a unique show that fuses classic jazz with circus elements. This performance, for the whole family, will begin at 12 noon at the Centenary Fountain and will culminate in the Central Market, promising a fun and dynamic experience.
African rites to Tarragona
Later on Friday, at 8 pm, the Young Kesse Space will host the Gangbé Brass Band in Benin. With a trajectory of 30 years, this group presents a repertoire that combines afrobeat, jazz and voodoo rhythms, thus showing the rich cultural influence of its homeland.
A night of fanfarries and traditions
On Saturday, April 26, at 9 pm, the Tarragona Theater will be the scene of the Balkan Paradise Orchestra. This formation, born on the streets of Barcelona, has won a prominent place in the international music scene with its album ‘Nectar’. His music, which fuses Balkan fanfare with rhythms around the world, is an example of his versatility and creativity.
Vermouth and music in the forum
On the same Saturday, the Forum Square will host a musical vermouth by Los Hermanos Pizarro, where attendees will enjoy jazz rhythms Manouche, Swing and Tango from 12 noon, thus providing a touch of freshness over the weekend.
