An innovative initiative to promote well -being
The Mayor of Lloret, Adrià Lamelas, together with the Councilor for Health, Vereda López, have revealed an exciting program for the first Health Week, coinciding with the World Day of Physical Activity, which will be held on April 6. This special week seeks to highlight the importance of emotional well -being, an aspect that is considered essential in daily life.
Diversified activities for all
According to Verreda López, the program includes a wide range of free activities, designed for all tastes and ages. Between March 31 and April 7, participants will enjoy Txikung and Yoga sessions on the beach, dance and fitness exhibition classes in the municipal pool, as well as workshops on emotional regulation and the impact of the use of screens.
Educational and recreational proposals
On April 5, an activity called ‘Escape City: responsible consumption of alcohol’ will be organized, aimed at the students of 4th ESO of the local institutes, in collaboration with the collaboration of creative content. The next day, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., Plaça de Pere Torrent will host traditional sports games, an initiative of the La Selva Sports Council, designed for children and families.
Exhibitions and community initiatives
In addition, Health Week will include the exhibition ‘Images of mourning’, presented by the Tramuntana Association after suicide, which will be available in the Municipal Library. A space dedicated to mental health with thematic guides will also be created, providing a comprehensive approach to the program.
Blood donation and social commitment
Another prominent activity is the blood donation campaign, which will take place in Lloret on April 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., on the Paseo Jacint Verdaguer, fostering solidarity among citizens.

Mayor Lamelas emphasized that health is a multifaceted concept that requires the collaboration of the entire community. He said that Lloret has the necessary resources to ensure that these services are accessible to all, thus reaffirming the City Council’s commitment to the well -being of its citizens.
