An intense career marked by success
Luis Zahera, one of the most recognized actors in Spain, has recently shared his reflections on the demand for his career. With almost 60 years and an agenda full of projects, Zahera confesses to feel exhausted. After succeeding with series such as ‘Living Sin Permiso’ and ‘Interview’, as well as with two statuettes of the Goya, his life has taken a dizzying turn.
The Nou Project: ‘Nobody’s Earth’
His latest work, ‘Tierra de Nadie’, has successfully debuted in movie theaters, attracting more than 60,000 spectators in his first weekend. Directed by Albert Pintó, the film tells the story of three friends immersed in the world of drug trafficking, each on a different side of the law. Zahera plays a Civil Guard captain, a figure who is trapped in a conflict that goes beyond his control.
A plot with touches of humor and friendship
With a script that combines moments of tension and humor, Zahera emphasizes the beauty of his story of friendship and the emotions he conveys. “It is a thriller with western touches that reminds us of the importance of human connections, even in the most extreme situations,” he says.
The dynamics between fellow shooting
Zahera also talks enthusiastically by his distribution companions, such as Karra Elejalde and Jesús Carroza, with whom he has shared memorable scenes. ‘Karra is a teacher, and Jesus brings an intensity that is contagious. Working with them is a pleasure, ‘he says with a smile.
Reflections on success and exhaustion
As his career progresses, Zahera acknowledges that success can be as much a blessing as a load. ‘Now, over fifty, I realize that the pace can be overwhelming. I have to find a balance, learn to say no, ‘he admits, as he reflects on how his career has been influenced by the right time at the right time.
The power of theater and monologue ‘Chungo’
In addition to his film career, Zahera continues his tour with the monologue ‘Chungo’, an experience he values greatly. ‘There is nothing like theater. The ability to connect with the audience and make them laugh is a gift that is priceless, “he says with passion.
An optimistic view of the future
Despite the challenges, Zahera has a positive attitude towards his professional future. ‘Each project is a new opportunity. I am excited about what will come and continue to explore new characters, ” he ends, reflecting his passion for interpretation.
