A love that began in innocence

The iconic singer Marisol has lived a life full of romances, but three of them have left a special mark on her heart. Currently, she shares her life with Massimo Stecchini, with whom she has maintained a stable relationship since 1987. However, one of her most significant loves was Carlos Goyanes, son of producer Manuel Goyanes.

The beginnings of a secret romance

At only 14, Marisol started a romance with Carlos, who was 16. Their relationship was born in an atmosphere of complicity and excitement, where the two young people found refuge from the expectations and pressures that surrounded them. Their love grew in intimacy, fueled by teenage passion.

The difficulty of living a love in the public light

The moment their relationship became public brought unexpected tensions. Marisol, in an interview with Lecturas magazine in 1968, sincerely expressed the pain she felt: “We were happy while everything was a secret, but when the truth came out, everything changed.”

A second chance

Despite the breakup, the feelings between Marisol and Carlos were too strong to be ignored. A few months after breaking up, they decided to give each other another chance. Marisol shared that their reconciliation came about naturally, at a family dinner where the two felt their love deserved a second chance.

A dream wedding

The following May, the couple celebrated their wedding in a religious ceremony at the Church of Sant Agustí, followed by a grand banquet at the Pavilion, El Retiro. The event attracted nearly 400 guests, among whom were prominent figures from the show business such as Carmen Sevilla and Lola Flores.

Memorable anecdotes

The banquet was full of unforgettable moments, but one of the most talked about anecdotes was the unusual noise that could be heard from afar, which one of the guests, Jaume de Mora i Aragó, came to describe as a “supermarket”.

The closing of a chapter

Despite the euphoria of their wedding, in 1975, just six years after saying ‘yes, I do’, Marisol and Carlos decided to end their marriage. This separation was a defining moment in their lives, leaving behind intense memories and an emotional imprint that would last over time.
