Urgent motion at the City Council meeting

The political group MÉS for Palma has submitted an urgent motion to the next Plenary Session of the City Council to request that Gabriel Le Senne, President of the Parliament, be declared persona non grata in the city of Palma. Neus Truyol, spokesman for MÉS for Palma, has explained that this decision is based on the events that occurred in Parliament, where Le Senne had an aggressive, disrespectful and possibly illegal attitude.

Inadmissible attitude

According to Truyol, Le Senne violently attacked two members of the Bureau, deputies Mercedes Garrido and Pilar Costa, and violated the memory of Aurora Picornell and the Roges des Molinar, victims of the Franco dictatorship. This, together with his inadmissible attitude and ways, means that Le Senne cannot continue as President of the Parliament. MÉS for Palma asks that he resign or be terminated by the deputies.

Events in Parliament

The incident took place during the parliamentary debate on taking into consideration the repeal of the Law of Democratic Memory in the Balearic Islands, promoted by the VOX parliamentary group. Le Senne, as president of Parliament, tore up a poster with the photographs of Aurora Picornell and the Roges des Molinar, victims of the Franco dictatorship. In addition, he expelled two members of the Bureau and deputies of the opposition without citing any article of the Regulations of the Parliament.

Defense of democracy

MÉS for Palma considers that Le Senne’s attitude is undignified and violent, and therefore requests that he be declared persona non grata in the city of Palma. According to Truyol, it is time to defend democracy and coexistence, and Le Senne is not up to the task of President of the Parliament. MÉS for Palma urges the PP to join the democratic forces and activate the mechanisms to remove Le Senne.

conclusion

In short, MÉS for Palma has submitted an urgent motion to request that Gabriel Le Senne be declared persona non grata in the city of Palma. This decision is based on the events that occurred in Parliament, where Le Senne had an aggressive and disrespectful attitude. MÉS for Palma defends democracy and urges the PP to take action to dismiss Le Senne as President of the Parliament.
