Concern for nightly discomfort
The Santa Rosa de Mollet Neighborhood Association, along with residents of Álvarez de Castro Street, have expressed their concern about the constant noise generated by an external team installed in the Campus building in the Hospital de Mollet. Joan Canet, spokesman for the affected neighbors, emphasizes that since September, a generator has been working incessantly, causing special discomfort during the nights.
Legal actions and formal complaints
Canet has stated that they have raised their complaint to the City Council and have filed a complaint to the Local Police, although they do not know if it has been managed. In addition, they are organizing to bring the case to the court if the situation does not improve. The City Council, on the other hand, has indicated that it has no record of this complaint.
Hope for improvement before summer
After his efforts, Canet has observed a certain reduction in noise, but insists that the level generated by the generator exceeds the acceptable limits. Neighbors are aware that they will have to coexist with this situation, but they hope a solution will be found before the arrival of summer, at which time the use of open windows will be essential due to the heat.
Mollet Health Foundation Commitment
From the Mollet Health Foundation (FSM), which manages the Hospital and the Campus building, they have announced that they are currently waiting for the final connection with the Endesa company, which will allow the external generators to be dispensed with. In the meantime, a lower power generator has been implemented during the nights and weekends to minimize the inconvenience to the neighbors. The FSM has expressed its commitment to solve the problem and regrets any inconvenience caused.
