Race values
Jordi Verdú emphasized the importance of the race, which combines sport, sustainable tourism and the promotion of local natural heritage. He emphasized that this is an opportunity to foster values such as effort and mutual respect among participants.
A challenging journey
Considered one of the most demanding competitions in the Iberian Peninsula, the Mut runs through mountainous paths and paths in the region of Noguera and Pallars Jussà. The runners will have to complete the race in a maximum of 26 hours for the ultra trail and 12 hours for the marathon and half-march, with refreshments every 10 km. The first athlete is expected to cross the finish line in approximately 14 hours.
The departure and the route
The departure of the Ultra Trail will take place at 23:00 from Guard de Noguera, the central nucleus of Castell de Mur. The Marathon and the Half-Marxa, on the other hand, will begin from the Camping of Àger, where it is also expected that the arrivals of the three races will take place.
Recovery of historical roads
Miquel López expressed his satisfaction with the inclusion of the three castles of the municipality on the route of the ultra trail. This initiative not only promotes sport, but also contributed to the recovery of roads that had fallen into disuse.
