Location in Figueres
Two motorized vehicles were consumed by flames during the morning in Figueres, in an episode that took place in sunny areas in the West sector of the town. The competent authorities, with the intervention of the emergency services, have acted in response to these incidents.
Details of the events
The first of the incidents happened around one in the morning in Calle de Manel de Falla. In this case, a motorcycle was on fire in an abandoned lot, being completely destroyed. In addition, the flames impacted some trunks present in the area.
Later, at around five in the morning, another similar episode was reported in Carrer de Mossèn Jesús Franco. In this second case, another motorcycle was consumed by fire and, as a result, the flames reached a nearby tree. Fortunately, no one was injured in either incident.
Police reinforcement in the area of the transport stations
In other areas, an increase in police presence has been announced in the areas near Girona’s train and bus stations, as a preventive measure to deal with possible incidents.
