A new chapter for High Season
The recently appointed director of the Temporada Alta festival, Narcís Puig, has kicked off its management with a presentation that reflects his personality: carefree and serene. Accompanied by actor Pere Arquillué, who will play a prominent role in one of the shows, Puig has revealed an advance of the seventeen productions that will make up this year’s edition in Girona and Salt.
The legacy of Salvador Sunyer and the continuity of the festival
After more than three decades of the leadership of Salvador Sunyer, the transition to Puig has been carried out without straightening. His career as an attachment to the festival has provided him with the necessary experience to deal with this new stage, as evidenced by his plans to maintain the festival’s success lines, such as fostering collaboration between local and international artists.
New in the programming
One of the highlights of this year is’ Alas! The misery will make us happy ‘, a work directed by the Uruguayan playwright Gabriel Calderón, who explores a future dominated by artificial intelligence, where robots occupy the stage and humans become councilors. Arquillué, Conejero, Carreras and Brown form a cast that promises to excite.
Classics and Innovations: The Diversity of the Festival
The Dramaturgy Tournament, an event that is already a benchmark, returns for its fifteenth edition. With 116 authors who have gone through this platform, the variety of styles and voices is one of the distinguishing features of the High Season.

Among the co -productions is’ SEPPUKU. Angélica Liddell’s Mishima ‘funeral’, which closes his trilogy dedicated to funerals. This work reflects on the life and death of Japanese playwright Yukio Mishima, promising an intense and emotional experience.
Art Contemporani I Dansa on stage
The Belgian creator Miet Warlop will present ‘Inhale Delirium Exhale’, a visual piece that explores the creative process through its unique aesthetic. In the field of dance, the new creations of Roser López Espinosa and Mal Pelo will continue with the inheritance of the festival, with proposals that merge movement and reflection.

With the new production ‘Nauta’ of the Cor de Teatre company, Temporada Alta is aimed at a more adult audience, incorporating innovative elements such as digital projections and contemporary choreography.
