An exciting literary journey

‘Camins Tortuosos’ emerges as an inaugural work by the author and playwright Carme Morell, published by the publishing house Insula Creativa. The book was presented in several locations, starting in Can Domènec, Alcúdia, on February 20, with the host delegate of Art Balear d’Alcúdia, accompanied by the interpreter Lluís Colom.

The presentation tour continued in Can Alcover, Palma, on April 10, with a session organized by Balearic Art, with the writer and historian Quico Maura acting as host.

Now, on April 15 at 7:00 p.m., ‘Camins Tortuosos’ will arrive at the Cloister of Sant Domingo, in Inca, with the support of Inca City Council, the Espirafocs bookstore, and Insula Creativa. The presentation will be conducted by the investigative writer and Catalan language expert, Caterina Valriu.

The author’s voice

Carme Morell Montadi, born in Barcelona in 1961, is a figure with a diverse career. Despite earning a doctorate with a thesis on the birth of Catalan theatre, her passion for narrative has led her to write scripts for television series such as ‘Nissaga de poder’, ‘Laberint d’ombres’, ‘El cor de the city’ and ‘Venddelplà’. In recent times, he has focused on his own screenwriting projects and training screenwriters at various universities.

An exploration of complex love

‘Caminos Tortuosos’ takes us on an emotional journey, exploring the intricate human relationships. Set on an island and in a house, the play captures the beauty and the trap that resides in the love of places and people. Love, in this case, becomes a double force: captivating and dangerous, suffocating and liberating.
