An Unforgettable Party
Plaça de Sant Pere de Berga experienced a spectacular party this Sunday evening. Corpus Christi celebrations have reached their peak with the last Patum Completa of these festivities. For five days, the square has been full of life and joy, with more than 6,000 people filling every corner to enjoy the activities and traditions.
Highlights
The troupes’ jumps were the main protagonists of the party. The different gangs such as the Turks and Cavallets, the Maces, the Guites, the Áliga, the Old Dwarfs, the Giants and the New Dwarfs have offered a fascinating show. With their coordinated movements and colorful costumes, they have captivated the attention of everyone present.
One of the most anticipated moments of the night was the Plens jump, which filled the square with a sea of fire. Spectators were impressed by the pyrotechnic show and applauded enthusiastically.
An Accessible Patum
This year, Patum stood out for being one of the most accessible in its history. Steps have been taken to ensure that everyone can enjoy the festivities, regardless of their abilities. The New Clothes of the Giants
The Giants of Patum have debuted new outfits after 15 years. The designer Jordi Rafart from Bergueda has created some spectacular dresses that combine tradition and modernity. The Giants’ new uniforms have been kept under wraps until now and have been one of the biggest surprises of the holiday season.
The dress design was chosen by popular vote two years ago. Rafart’s proposal, known as ‘Our grandparents’, won with more than 800 votes. The new Giants uniforms have been a hit and have received praise for their originality and detail.
