Pedro Sánchez promotes change in Catalonia
The president of the central government, Pedro Sánchez, said this Saturday that “it was two right-wing leaders, in La Moncloa and in Palau, who led Catalonia to bankruptcy, so everyone should vote for the PSC and Salvador Illa to do change possible” in 12M.
PSC campaign event in Montmeló
Sánchez participated in a PSC campaign event at the La Torreta Cultural Center in Montmeló (Barcelona), which was attended by 2,000 people. The candidate for the parliamentary elections, Salvador Illa, were present at the event; number 22 for Barcelona, Conchi Jiménez, and the mayor of Montmeló, Pere Rodríguez.
Win the next decade for Catalonia
The leader of the PSOE has called to “win the next decade for Catalonia” and to take stock based on facts, not fake news. Sánchez has regretted that in 10 years, pro-independence governments have caused setbacks in health, education and renewable energy.
A change based on progress and coexistence
Sánchez highlighted the importance of “mobilizing for a change that is based on progress, not on paralysis; on coexistence, not on confrontation”. He stated that “Catalans face a dilemma: the rest of the parties lead to paralysis and uncertainty, but voting for Illa means that Catalonia advances in coexistence and social rights”.
Commitment to govern coexistence
The president has pledged to “govern coexistence” together with Illa, and has called for a massive vote for him.
