Protest at the America’s Cup store
About fifty activists have occupied the America’s Cup store to express their rejection of the event. The organizations that have called the protest are Futur Verd, End of Fossil Fuels, Arran and Friday for the Future. This protest action has been carried out to denounce the macro events that cause a negative impact on the territory. Activists threw red paint at the store and displayed a banner with the slogan: “End the capitalist system, save the planet.”
Demonstration of June 8
Next Saturday, several organizations, including Futur Verd, Fi dels Combustibles Fossils, Arran and Friday for the Future, have called a demonstration in Barcelona under the slogan: “Health, Earth, Future”. This call calls for, among other things, an end to the tourism monoculture and territorial inequalities. The entities also denounce the social and ecological impact of the city’s current tourist model, as well as the macro-projects and macro-events it hosts.
The demonstration will start from the Arc de Triomf at 9 am on June 8. The organizers have not yet detailed the route that the mobilization will follow.
