The Popular Party leads the European Elections

According to several surveys, the Popular Party is emerging as the winner of the next European elections, surpassing the PSOE in the number of MEPs. The popular ones, under the leadership of Dolors Montserrat, could obtain between 24 and 25 seats, representing an increase of up to 13 seats compared to the previous elections. This tendency is attributed to the disappearance of Citizens, who would not obtain representation in these elections.

The PSOE remains as Second Force

On the other hand, the PSOE, led by the Minister of Ecological Transition, Teresa Ribera, would remain the second political force with a representation of between 19 and 20 MEPs, without losing significant support.

Emerging Political Trends

The European elections reveal a clear trend towards Spanish bipartisanship, with the PSOE and the Popular Party leading the contest. In addition, there is a growth of Vox, which is expected to consolidate itself as the third political force with between 6 and 7 MEPs, although far from the second position.

On the other hand, the coalition of Esquerra Republicana, BNG, Bildu, Més per Mallorca and Ara Repúbliques remains a relevant presence with an estimated representation of between 2 and 3 MEPs, although with some variations in the different polls .

Finally, other political forces such as Sumar and Podemos, as well as ERC and Junts, are expected to maintain or slightly improve their results, while other candidates such as the coalition led by the PNB, Coalició Canària, Geroa Bai and the PI (CEUS) and the populist formation Se Acabó la Fiesta are in a more uncertain situation.
