A Different Christmas: Promotion of Local Trade
This week, the Reus Shopkeepers’ Union has launched an innovative campaign for the holidays, called ‘This Christmas, give Reus. Give UBR’. With the presence of Mayor Sandra Guaita, the collaboration between the public and private sectors to reinforce the image of Reus as a leading commercial and leisure destination in Catalonia was highlighted.
Activities and Surprising Prizes for Buyers
The campaign not only seeks to promote local commerce, but also to involve the community in various activities. From December 9 to January 5, customers who shop at the partner stores will have the opportunity to win one of 10 Christmas baskets, as well as two exclusive experiences at Casa Navàs. These baskets, which will be displayed in a location on the corner of Carrer del Castell and Plaça Mercadal, contain products and services from almost 100 merchants who have contributed to the initiative.
A Total Value of 6,000 Euros in Premises
With a total budget of 6,000 euros for the baskets, the draw will be held in mid-January, adding an extra incentive for those who decide to shop in Reus during the holidays.
Special Activities for the Holidays
As the Magi approach, the merchants of Reus will have special cards for the little ones. A royal page will be present in Plaça Mercadal to collect the desired cards. In addition, the Union of Shopkeepers has given away decorative Christmas trees in their stores, bringing a festive touch to local businesses.
Digital Advent Calendar: An Innovative Proposal
The campaign includes a digital proposal with a virtual Advent calendar on Instagram, which will run until December 24. Each day, a window will open to one of the associates, presenting their services and products. This activity not only seeks to promote local commerce, but also offers the possibility of winning 30 euro vouchers in two draws, on December 12 and 24.
A Bright Future for Local Commerce
With the intention of closing the year successfully, this campaign represents a significant effort to revitalize local commerce, with advertising that will cover the press, television and social networks. The Reus Shopkeepers’ Union hopes that this initiative will not only increase sales during the holidays, but also foster a sense of community and support for local commerce.
