Roquetes has taken an important step in its tourist strategy with the launch of its renewed website, Roqueturisme.cat. On Tuesday, the town presented a platform designed to attract the attention of visitors, with a modern design and updated contents that reflect the richness of the municipality and its surroundings.
Institutional support and linguistic diversity
The Diputación de Tarragona has been key in this project, providing resources for the creation of a portal that offers translation in fifteen languages, including English, French and Japanese, in order to facilitate access to information for an international audience.
Future vision
Mayor Ivan Garcia emphasized that this initiative seeks to consolidate Roquetes as a top -notch tourist destination, with an approach to the promotion of science and culture, taking advantage of events such as the solar eclipse scheduled for August 12, 2026.
Functionality and accessibility
The new website, according to the Councilor for Tourism, Sonia Andrade, is not only visually attractive, but also much more functional. The navigation has been optimized to facilitate the exploration of the natural, cultural and gastronomic offers of the area.
Rich and varied content
The platform includes sections dedicated to the Greenway, the Port and the Ebro Observatory, as well as information on local parties, trade, accommodation and restaurants, ensuring that it is a useful resource for all visitors.
Impact promotional campaign
During the presentation event, a new advertising spot for Roquetes Turisme, which has attractive images of the municipality, also premiered. This campaign, which will be spread on various digital and radio channels, is designed to attract a wider audience.

Garcia has shared revealing data on increasing tourism in Roquetes in the last year. More than 2,000 vehicles have visited the motorhome area, with a high assessment of the users, and an increase of 155,000 users on the greenway, which has led to a significant economic impact on local trade.
