Reinforcement of the cleaning service in Salou
The City Council of Salou has taken a significant step in its urban maintenance strategy, approved a review of the contract for waste collection and road cleaning. This initiative, which seeks to transform the city into a cleaner and more welcoming space, has found resistance in the voting of Vox and PP parties.
Improvements in resources and efficiency
With this modification, Salou agrees to increase both the number of workers and the provision of machinery, in order to optimize the cleaning services. The city, which has undergone considerable population and tourism growth, needs a renewed approach that adapts to these circumstances.
A new collection strategy
From the entry into force of the new contract, scheduled for June 2024, Salou has launched several measures to improve selective collection, betting on a more sustainable management of waste. This update is a breakthrough to a wider and more effective service.
Personal Increase and Technological Investments
The new plan includes the hiring of more than 20 employees, which will allow the cleaning needs to be met faster. In addition, funds will be used for the acquisition of state-of-the-art machinery, including electric vehicles and hydro-cooking equipment that will minimize the environmental impact.
Improved cleaning frequencies
The frequencies of collection and cleaning will be increased in areas with more density of use, such as Camí de Ronda and Cap Salou. In addition, during the high season, pressure water cleaning techniques will be introduced to address the particular needs of the busiest areas.
Commitment to sustainability and well -being
The Councilor for Road Cleaning, Sebastià Domínguez, emphasizes that this initiative seeks to consolidate a management model that prioritizes the well -being of the community and the preservation of public space. The City Council thus reaffirms its commitment to a quality service, essential for the daily life of the residents and for the tourist image of Salou.
A strategic investment for the future
With an annual budget of approximately 1.3 million euros, this modification involves a total investment of 14.4 million euros for the next 11 years. This bet not only seeks to improve the quality of life of citizens, but also positions Salou as a front -line tourist destination.
