An unprecedented event

Salou will become the focus of aviation between September 19 and 21, with the celebration of the ‘Fiesta a cel’, one of the most impressive air events in Spain. In its 28th edition, this festival, organized by the Barcelona-Sabadell Aeroclub, promises a combined show of aerial stunts, technological innovations and the participation of both civilian and military aircraft.

A long tradition

With more than 30 years of history, the festival in heaven is the oldest air festival in Spain. He began his career in Barcelona in 1992, with the mission of making the world of aviation accessible to a wide audience, both through its spectacularity and its educational side.

A world of possibilities

Daniel Ventura, director of the event, emphasizes that the party in heaven is not only a visual spectacle, but also an opportunity to explore several professions in the aeronautical sector, such as piloting, engineering and air management.

A full -fledged weekend

The festival will begin on Friday 19th with the training sessions of the participating aircraft. On Saturday 20th, the beaches of Salou will be transformed into a space of family activities throughout the day, culminating in a spectacular night show with lights and fireworks. The peak of the weekend will be on Sunday 21, with the main aerial festival, which will be held from 10 to 14 hours, where you will see high -flying demonstrations, state -of -the -art combat planes and technology.

Crowd expectations

The organization envisages that about 250,000 people will attend the event, which will have a varied range of aircraft, including military, civilian, helicopters, air balloons, paraglids and paramotors. An exhibition area will also be installed on the beach with flight simulators and educational activities for all ages.

Local impact and aerial history

The Mayor of Salou, Pere Granados, described the festival in heaven as ‘the largest aerial show ever organized in Salou’, emphasizing the tourist and media importance that it will have for the municipality. This edition is special, as Salou will host this event for the first time, although the city already has an aeronautical legacy, with the first flight of Aviator Lucien de Mazel on its beaches in 1911.

Coordination and preparations

Recently, a meeting was held at the City Council of Salou with the participation of key figures such as Mayor Granados and the Deputy Government Delegate in Tarragona, Elisabeth Romero, to ensure that logistics and security are ready for this great aerial show.
