This weekend, the Segre Olympic Park will become the focus of water sports lovers. After being the scene of the Pyrenees International Cup two weeks ago, La Seu d’Urgell is preparing to receive the second test of the Spanish Cup 2025 of Slalom canoe and kayak Cross. The competitions will take place on Saturday and Sunday, with times from 9 am to 4 pm.

National selection in play

In addition to being an exciting competition, this event will serve as a selection for the national team, led by the well-known Guille Díez-Chanedo, originally from the area. The activities of this weekend will begin on Friday with free training from 13:00 to 16:30, followed by a demonstration of the route at 18:30. On Saturday he will be dedicated to the slalom, with the qualifying sleeve that will take place between 9 and 13 hours. The slalom finals, scheduled for 14:15, are expected to end shortly before 16:00, followed by the delivery of free prizes and training for the next day.

Sunday: Cross kayak day

On Sunday, the attention will be moved to the Cross Kayaking, with the time trial phase starting at 9:00. This phase will define the knockout boxes, with the second hoses scheduled for 10:56. The knockouts will be held at 13:45, culminating in the finals at 15:45, before the awards ceremony at 16:30.

Recent results and expectations

One month ago, the Spanish Cup 2025 began its march in Irun, where the Cadí Canoë-Kayak won a total of five podiums. It emphasizes the victory of Anna Simona in the Junior Female K1 category, which also took a third place in C1. Manel Contreras equalized this result in male K1, while Marc Vicente and Núria Vilarrubla respectively won a second and third place in C1.
