Carrers Muralla in Valls and Montblanc
In Valls and Montblanc, the streets that follow the old walled enclosures are called walls. This term, in addition to referring to a defensive construction, indicates that these streets run next to the wall. In Valls, we find the wall of Sant Antoni, the wall of the Castle, the wall of Sant Francesc and the wall of Carmel, all of them located outside the old wall. In Montblanc, in addition to the streets that follow the wall on the outside, such as the wall of Sant Jordi, the wall of Sant Francesc and the wall of Santa Tecla, there are also streets that follow the wall on the inside, such as the wall of Pere III , the wall of Alfonso I, the wall of James II and the wall of Alfonso III.
