Dates and format of competition
From March 24 to March 30, 2025, the Catalan roads will host the 104th edition of the cycling vault in Catalonia. With a total of seven stages, this competition will bring together 24 teams made up of the best cyclists in the world, including 18 UCI World Team and two of the ICU Proteams, as well as four teams invited by the organization.
An overview of stages
The Tour of Catalonia is presented in an exciting and diverse format, with 168 runners competing for the victory in a week full of emotions. Fans will be able to follow each stage and discover who is emerging as a favorite for the final triumph, which will take place in Barcelona.
Prominent stages
The route includes several significant stages, such as the first, which will begin and end in Sant Feliu de Guíxols, and a mountain stage that will lead the cyclists to La Molina. In addition, Sant Vicenç de Castellet will be the setting for a stage that will culminate in the Monastery of Montserrat, a new feature expected by the participants and spectators.

The stages of the competition are then detailed:
Stage 1: Sant Feliu de Guíxols
The competition will begin with a circular tour of Sant Feliu de Guíxols on March 24.
Stage 2: Banyoles in Figueres
The second stage will tour the Girona lands, starting in Banyoles and end in Figueres, a city with a rich story in the test.
Stage 3: Viladecans to La Molina
The third day will mark the beginning of the mountain stages with a challenging promotion to La Molina.
Stage 4: St. Vincent of Castilet in Montserrat
Sant Vicenç de Castellet will host the departure of a stage that will end in one of the most emblematic places in Catalonia, the Monastery of Montserrat.
Stage 5: Paüls in Amposta
The cyclists will go to the Terres de l’Ebre, with departure from the small village of Paüls and end to Amposta.
Stage 6: Berga in Queralt
The penultimate stage will repeat the route of the previous year, with departure to Berga and end to the Sanctuary of Queralt.
Stage 7: Barcelona
The competition will culminate in Barcelona with a stage that will include the emblematic climb to Montjuïc, where the winner of the Volta will be determined.

The competition will be attended by 24 teams, including 18 of the highest world category. Notable among them is the presence of names such as INEOS Grenadiers, UAE Team Emirates and the recent winner, Tadej Pogacar, who will defend his title.
