Celebration of the performing arts in Mollet del Vallès
From May 30 to June 1, Mollet del Vallès will become the epicenter of creativity and innovation with the seventh edition of the El Arlequín International Festival. This event, which brings together both consecrated artists and new promises, seeks to enhance the value of outdoor performing arts.
A diversified program for all tastes
The festival promises a varied repertoire of performances that cover from circus and dance to music and theater. This year, attendees are expected to enjoy unique shows that challenge traditional norms, all designed to attract a diverse audience.
Opening with creativity and humor
The inauguration of the festival will be marked by ‘Nozing’, a musical theatrical proposal of the Uual·la company! that mixes humor and melodies in an innovative format. This show, which has been awarded on several occasions, will be presented on May 30 at 8:00 p.m. at the Can Gomà Theater, where tickets will be available from May 16.
Apotheosic closure with fire circus
The inaugural day will culminate with ‘Fire circus’, a vibrant show that combines dance and juggling, promising an unforgettable experience full of surprises.
Tradition and modernity in the program
The second day of the Festival, on May 31, will begin with a parade that will celebrate popular culture. The performances of Rosarai CIR and other artists in the Prat de la Riba square will mark the beginning of a day dedicated to the most traditional forms of the circus. The night will conclude with ‘Sum of Sound’, a show that fuses dance, music and poetry, promoting inclusion and diversity.
Reflections of the mayor and the artistic director
Mireia Dionisio Calé, mayor of Mollet, highlighted the importance of the festival as a tool to bring culture closer to the community and foster local pride. Pau Segalés, artistic director of the event, has indicated the growth and variety of proposals that are presented this year, inviting citizens to enjoy and participate.

Since its inception in 2016, Arlequín has gathered talented artists from all over the world, becoming a cultural reference. The Festival pays tribute to the figure of Arlequín, an iconic theater character that has inspired generations of artists, including the renowned local painter Joan Abelló, who is commemorated in the centenary of his birth this year.
