Kia in the Spanish Market
Kia, which ranked second in car sales in Spain in 2023, has experienced a change in its performance in 2024. During the month of May, Kia was positioned as the eighth best-selling brand in Spain, with 4,773 units. One of the main reasons for this decline is the decrease in sales of its flagship model, the Kia Sportage. This vehicle has not been able to achieve favorable figures and, so far this year, it has accumulated 7,434 registrations, placing it in 13th place among the best sellers. However, May brought good news for Kia, as the Sportage managed to regain ground and once again placed itself in the top 10 for monthly sales.
The Triumphal Return of the Kia Sportage
During the month of May, the Kia Sportage sold 1,819 units, which allowed it to occupy ninth place among the best-selling cars of the month. This achievement is significant, considering the difficulties the Sportage faced in staying in the top 10 throughout the year. This recovery is a positive sign for the brand, which has implemented various strategies to improve its positioning in the market.
