A Night Al Ras and Superficial Scratches
The boy appears to be in good health after spending the night outdoors, although he does have some superficial scratches from his experience.
The day before, this young man, who suffers from a previously diagnosed mental condition that does not limit his ability to live a normal life, had already made a similar excursion up the mountain. On this occasion, however, he did not inform his father of his intentions or maintain contact, thus increasing concern in his absence.
The Disappearance and the Search
After he did not show up at his place of work and did not return home, the family alerted the authorities about the disappearance of the young man during the night.
Investigations have been carried out in both urban areas and natural environments to try to find him after the first hours of searching were not considered to be of concern.
Over time, the disappearance has had a qualified level of risk.
Operative Research and Citizen Collaboration
In the early hours of the morning, an extensive search operation was activated with the assistance of a helicopter and professionals from various groups and units, including canine officers, firefighters and traffic officers.
An advanced command center has been established in the area of Balcó del Solà, with the participation of several authorities and vehicles from the bodies involved in the Passeig de l’Alguer.
Given the lack of news about the young man, the police have requested the public’s cooperation before 9 am.
The Meeting and Medical Assistance
Shortly before 10 am, the young man contacted his father to inform him of his location on the mountain and provided geolocation, which turned out to be crucial for his location.
Despite the difficulty of access, the firefighters used a helicopter to find the young man and transfer him immediately to a hospital, where he is apparently in good health.
