The Digital ID Revolution
With the aim of adapting to new technologies, the implementation of digital DNI has begun. This new format will allow citizens to verify their identity through the mobile phone, guaranteeing maximum security measures.
To access the digital DNI, users will have to download the Midni application, which will generate a QR code sealed by the National Police, ensuring the authenticity of the data in real time and preventing any manipulation.
DIGITAL ID FUNCTIONALITIES
In this first phase, the digital DNI will allow the face -to -face identification with the same validity as the physical document. Citizens will be able to use it to access spaces that require it, sign documents before notaries, and carry out procedures with the administration.
In addition, it will serve to register in hotels, rent vehicles or collect packages at courier services, thus replacing the accreditations that were previously made with the traditional ID.
Futuristic perspectives: the second phase
It is expected that by 2026, the digital DNI will allow citizens to carry out telematic efforts, including electronic signature and other online operations, thus expanding the possibilities of use of this new identification system.
This evolution in personal identification will not only modernize administrative procedures, but also increase safety and comfort for citizens.
