Although other political parties have also pushed for progress in this area, the Popular Party has broken this consensus by allying itself with the extreme right to stay in power. The Obra Cultural Balearic has called on citizens to mobilize and defend the Catalan language. With the support of more than 60 entities and associations, a demonstration has been organized to express the commitment to the language and to demand that the public authorities comply with their statutory and legal obligations to promote the Catalan language. This call seeks to ensure that Catalan has a prominent presence in all areas of public life.
