The beginnings of a family business
Vins i Licors Grau is a family business with a long history that dates back to 1977, when Jordi Grau Dillet and Maria Dolors Segarra opened a 1200 m2 business dedicated to the sale and distribution of bottled wines and spirits, on the street Palafrugell Cork Manufactures.
A significant expansion
During the 90s, the company experienced great growth, and made the definitive leap into the new era. With the addition of the new generation, Sergi and Jordi Grau Segarra, the facilities were inaugurated in 2003 and today have 15,000 m2.
The turning point: online sales and expansion of facilities
2009 marked a turning point with the launch of online sales through the website www.grauonline.com. From that moment on, customers could select from 12,000 references of wines and spirits and receive them at home in less than 48 hours, both in Spain and in Europe. In 2017, coinciding with the 40th anniversary, the wine bar’s facilities were expanded to 1,700 m2.
Logistics warehouse and international recognition
GrauOnline’s logistics warehouse, with 9,200m², of which 1,200 are temperature and humidity controlled, has the capacity to store up to 8 million bottles. In addition, Vins i Licors Grau’s excellence as a wine store has been recognized internationally, being awarded as the best independent distributor in the State in the 16th year. edition of the Mercados del Vino y la Distribución business awards held in Madrid.
Unique experience for wine lovers
The wine bar not only offers a wide selection of wines and spirits, but also has an auditorium for special tastings and a professional tasting room for customers. The enomatic, an automatic wine dispenser with 16 references, is the star of the tasting area.
