A Different Christmas in Vilanova del Camí
Every year, from December 6, Vilanova del Camí is transformed into a scene full of magic and fun with the arrival of the Trobations gymnasium. This activity, which was born during the pandemic of 2020, has been gaining popularity and now attracts hundreds of families looking for a Christmas full of emotions.
Decorated Tions: A Renewed Tradition
This year, a total of 43 tents have been prepared for the occasion, each decorated by various local associations. Children will be able to find tents dressed as traditional characters, sports figures and even movie themes, creating a unique festive atmosphere.
The Treasure Map: A Guide to Adventure
Participants will receive a map that will guide them through Vilanova in search of the tiós. In addition, the little ones will be able to express their opinion on the tió they liked the most through a cut-out section of the map, which can be obtained at different points in the municipality.
Prizes and Surprises for Everyone
On December 31, during the celebration of the Man of Noses, children who have completed the map can present it in the Market Square to receive a small gift. In addition, those who vote for their favorite uncle will be entered into a draw for tablets and lots of school supplies.
A Young Tradition with Deep Roots
Although Trobations has only celebrated five editions, it has become an essential Christmas tradition in Vilanova. The Councilor for Culture, Carlota Silva, points out that more than 700 children actively participate, and the fun and excitement to discover the nations are the engines that keep this activity alive.
An Unexpected Beginning in Times of Pandemic
Trobations was born as a solution to maintain the Christmas spirit during COVID-19. Silva explains that the goal was to provide fun and learning for the little ones while respecting safety measures. The positive impact of this initiative has led to an increase in participation every year.
A Bright Future for the Gymkhana
With the decrease in vandalism and the increase in community interest, Trobations promises to continue to grow. Councilwoman Silva encourages everyone to respect the rules and enjoy this experience that brings families and friends together in a festive and magical atmosphere.
