A space for musical creativity

La Seu d’Urgell is preparing to host a unique event: the VI ‘Artistic Research Days in Music of the Pyrenees’. This initiative, born of the Union of Entities such as the Puigcerdà Music Association and the Musikeon Center in Valencia, seeks to promote musical research in an international context.

A start that promises

The opening ceremony will take place on Friday, May 16, at 8:00 pm, in the Sala de Sant Domènec. The Catalan pianist and composer Clara Peya will offer a concert, accompanied by a talk by the artist Luca Chiante. Tickets are now available on the official platform, with a symbolic price for the only payment concert of the event.

A diversified program

With the participation of researchers from Spain, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Colombia and Lithuania, the days offer a total of 17 activities. Following the inauguration, the events will be distributed in several locations, including the Cerdà Museum and the Medianeque Room in Sallagosa.

Varied activities

In addition to the concerts, attendees will enjoy conferences, book presentations and auditions commented. One of the highlights will be the concert of the Colombian violinists Lelio Olarte and Diana Marcela Rodríguez, who will take place in Sallagosa.

A clear goal

The organization of the conference seeks to position the Pyrenees as a reference nucleus in musical art research, an area that already has a consolidated presence in European countries such as the United Kingdom and Sweden.

A dialogue between disciplines

Experts who will participate in the conference will address various topics, from traditional Catalan songs to contemporary creation for piano and synthesizers. The interaction between music and other disciplines such as philosophy and technology will be one of the central pillars of the debate.

A promising future

With an innovative approach and programming that embraces musical diversity, the Artistic Research Days in Music of the Pyrenees are aiming to be a turning point for the region’s musical culture and a space for artistic creation and reflection.
