The new 3Cat audio-visual platform
The Catalan Corporation for Audiovisual Media (CCMA) has launched its new audiovisual platform, 3Cat, with great success. Since its launch 6 months ago, the platform has managed to exceed 100 million views, reaching a total of 103,595,810. This platform stands out for its wide variety of content and improved accessibility to productions from previous seasons. With more than 330,000 hours of quality productions, 3Cat has become a benchmark in the Catalan audiovisual world.
Popular content and diversity
The most consumed content on 3Cat are entertainment bets such as the adventure reality show ‘La travessa’, presented by Laura Escanes, which has accumulated more than 1.5 million views since its premiere. In addition, Carles Porta’s new series, ‘Tor’, has been a huge success, with almost 500,000 views in its first week. In addition to popular content, 3Cat offers a wide variety of content for all audiences, including programs aimed at children, young people and adults, as well as family series and documentaries.
Consumption and growth
3Cat has achieved record monthly consumption, with more than 3.5 million hours consumed in Catalan on the platform. This represents an average of 120,000 hours per day. In addition, more than 900,000 users have registered on the platform to save their preferences and consume their favorite content, either live or on demand. The consumption of content on demand represents 65% of the total. With the launch of the platform, the SX3 kids channel has seen 21% growth, with an 18% increase in video views. This shows that 3Cat has become one of the main references for audiovisual content in Catalan.
