A violent incident in La Pobla de Segur
On July 21, 2021, a worrying incident took place on the N-260 road in the Flamisell bridge area, where a woman was accused of trying to run over a man with whom he had had a conflicting relationship. The Prosecutor’s Office has presented a serious case that could have been in prison for 9 years.

After several impacts, the man managed to get out of the car, but the woman did not stop and continued to pursue him, threatening him with violent insults and expressions. Two neighbors who witnessed the situation intervened to protect the victim, avoiding a potentially fatal result.
The consequences of the incident
As a result of the attack, the victim suffered injuries that required medical care, and needed two days to recover, during which he could not work. In addition, damage to her vehicle was encrypted at about 1,955 euros, of which the insurer covered approximately 1,745 euros.

The prosecutor’s office has presented charges of murder and threats, with a request of 7 and a half years in prison for the murder attempt. In addition, the accused could face a 200-meter remote order of the victim, as well as a communication ban for a period of four years.
