Salvador Illa criticizes Junts’ intentions
The general secretary of the PSC, Salvador Illa, has criticized the intentions of Junts, accusing them of seeking an electoral repeat to improve the results of the formation at the polls. In a closing act of the 8th Congress of the PSC-Barcelonès Nord, Illa warned that together they want to play the game until they win it, comparing them to someone who is not satisfied with the result of a football game and wants to continue playing until victory.
Result of the polls according to Island
Illa has insisted that the result of 12-M is sharp and clear, and has stated that a repeat election would be disrespectful to the citizens, since he considers that they have already expressed their will. According to him, the Catalans have asked for a government led by the PSC and with ERC and the Commons, a government of progress.
The PSC seeks broad support
Illa has assured that the PSC has understood the result of the polls and is looking for broad support with other left-wing political formations. He emphasized that they are negotiating with humility and discretion to achieve a progressive government, recognizing that they cannot do it alone.
Demand for amnesty and respect for the law
The leader of the PSC has taken advantage of his appearance to demand that the judiciary apply the amnesty law, recalling that this regulation is the result of the decision of the legislative power and that it is important for the future of Catalonia and Spain. He has asked the judiciary to respect this decision and comply with its powers.
