The ‘Lil Wayne’ burger, from the Gottan Grill restaurant, has been proclaimed the best burger in the city in The Champions Burger competition. This competition was held at the Fira de Barcelona site in Plaça Espanya. The ‘Lil Wayne’ burger is made with aged ground beef, cheddar cheese, potato bun, smoked onion, low temperature cooked bacon, crispy bacon and Louisiana sauce.

In addition to the ‘Lil Wayne’, the ‘La Manuela’ hamburger, from the Soda Bus Barcelona hamburger shop, has also qualified for the state final which will be held at the end of the year. ‘La Manuela’ is a burger made from a potato brioche bun, two beef burgers, smoked provolone cheese, bacon jam, kistorra mayonnaise, caramelized onions and crispy pork rinds.
The winning hamburgers will represent Barcelona in the state final
The burgers ‘Lil Wayne’ and ‘La Manuela’ are the winners of the edition of The Champions Burger in Barcelona and will represent the city in the state final. This traveling competition visits the most important cities in the State so that the public can choose their favorite hamburgers and find the best hamburger in Spain. The winner of the national competition will go on to the European final, where the winning burgers from different countries will compete to become the best burger in Europe.
More than twenty participants in the contest
The jury that chose the winning burgers was the visiting public of The Champions Burger. With the purchase of a burger, the public could scan a code and assign a score to every burger they tried. Thus it has been determined that the burgers ‘Lil Wayne’ and ‘La Manuela’ have obtained the highest scores. These two hamburgers competed against more than twenty participants from different restaurants in the city.

The competition presented a wide variety of hamburgers, from the classics to the most innovative ones with exotic ingredients. It has been an opportunity to find the best flavor, as well as to appreciate the originality and combination of ingredients in this popular meal.
