A year of transformation and inclusion
A year ago, within the framework of the celebrations of Sant Blai, an ambitious plan was presented to improve the accessibility of the parish temple of Sant Blai. This initiative, promoted by the Parish Pastoral Council, seeks to make the Temple a cozy space for the whole community.
Improvements that facilitate access
In recent months, improvements have begun to be visible. The new access with ramp, which recovers the 18th -century architectural style, is one of the main advances. This renewal not only facilitates entry into the temple, but also improves evacuation conditions, guaranteeing the safety of all visitors.
Interior running phases and updates
The works have been divided into four phases. In addition to access, several interior improvements have been made, including the creation of a new sacristy that can rediscover the image of the Virgin. A modern PA system has been installed that improves sound quality, as well as a lobby that includes a cabinet-functional archive. The parish office has also been relocated and adequate.
THE FUTUR OF THE TEMPLE: FINAL PHASE
The last phase of the works will focus on the improvement of the main altar and the general lighting of the temple, which will highlight the beautiful chapels and improve the acoustics for musical performances. These improvements are essential for preserving the history of the octagonal temple, which was damaged during the Civil War.
Community transparency and collaboration
With the aim of maintaining transparency, the parish pastoral council has shared details on the costs of the work done and those left to do. So far, the resources for the reform have come from temple savings, donations of individuals and entities, as well as funds provided by the bishopric.
Initiatives to raise funds
To ensure the completion of the project, several fundraising initiatives have been proposed, such as allocating the Masses of the second weekend of each month, as well as private donations and interestless micro loans.
A collective commitment
The parish pastoral council is working hard to open the doors of the parish of Sant Blai throughout the community. I want to express my thanks to all those who have helped to make this project a reality and encourage everyone to participate, as collaboration is key to moving forward.
The importance of Saint Blai for the community
The temple of Sant Blai is not only a space of worship, but also a symbol of our community. With your help, we can ensure that it is an accessible and cozy place for all.
Thank you for your collaboration and support in this noble cause. Together, we can make Sant Blai an example of opening and inclusion for all.
