A special trip
My first visit to Paris was at the age of 23, accompanied by my mother. This trip meant a lot to both of us as we celebrated my 23rd birthday and my upcoming stay to study at the Sorbonne. During our stay, we enjoyed unique experiences, such as dinner at the Moulin Rouge, meals at emblematic places such as the Procope, cocktails at the Saint Georges restaurant, and a complete visit to Versailles. Additionally, we had the opportunity to enjoy a glass of Bollinger at the Ritz, Lady Di style. Without a doubt, it was a moment to remember and celebrate together.
Exploring the city
During my stay, I had the opportunity to attend a seminar on Picasso, focusing on the women he loved. Despite the influence of romanticism, I was able to appreciate his work from a philosophical perspective. In addition, I discovered charming places like the “Les Filles à la vanille” store in Les Marais, where I purchased unique dresses. Although years later I discovered that many stores in that neighborhood were franchises, I have fond memories of my experience.
Moments of fear and love
Despite my love for Paris, I also experienced scary moments during my stay. On one occasion, at the Center Pompidou, I experienced a disturbing situation that led me to take precautions. However, I also experienced moments of love and romance, such as the Liberation Festival in the Luxembourg Park, where I fell deeply in love with the chanson française.
Reflections and anecdotes
Paris is a city full of clichés, some true and some not so much. Throughout my visits, I have had the opportunity to reflect on various aspects of Parisian life, from culture to personal experiences. While I love Paris, I have also faced challenges, such as lost metro tickets and unexpected situations. However, each experience has contributed to my appreciation for the city and its rich history.
Paris, an eternal city
Despite the ups and downs, Paris remains a city that amazes me. From traditional cafes to iconic places like Notre-Dame, every corner of the city has its charm. Although I have experienced unforgettable moments, I have also witnessed tragic events, such as the Notre-Dame fire. However, the beauty and history of Paris remain unmatched.
Memories and final reflections
My memories of Paris are full of special moments, from walks along the Champs-Élysées to unique culinary experiences. Despite the challenges and surprises, Paris remains a city that I treasure. Each visit has been unique and memorable, and I am grateful for the experiences I have had in this special city.
