A prize with tradition: key dates
The time to vote for candidates for the Vallsà Award of the Year of EL 9 NOU is approaching. The deadline for casting your vote will be on April 23, coinciding with the celebration of Sant Jordi. The final verdict will be revealed in a gala scheduled for May 14, which will take place in the Auditorium of Samer Cosmetics, located in Lliçà de Vall.
How to participate in the voting
Those interested in participating can send the tickets that appear in the newspaper on Mondays and Friday, or register at the Premium.cat portal. Each participant will have the opportunity to vote for a maximum of three candidates, ensuring that his voice is heard.
The candidates this year
The list of candidates for this edition is diverse and inspirational. Notable among them is Dani Ametller de Montornès, who has introduced the project ‘More than science’, bringing science to residences of the elderly through virtual reality. We also find Margarita Arderiu, a prominent Canovelles businesswoman, and Jana Arimany, who promotes the capable and valid Foundation with the vision of creating an occupational center for people with disabilities in Kenya.
Other notable candidates
Among the other nominees are Francina G. Ars and Frederic Roda, who have fostered the theater in Granollers, and Daniel Boil, a business and cultural activist. Also noteworthy is Antonio Garcia, player of the BM Granollers, and Eduard Sola, screenwriter of ‘Casa en Flames’. In addition, Sara Pons, head of spiritual health at Mollet Hospital, and scientist Marc Valls, as well as Maria Vidal, a defender of sustainable mobility, complete the list.
The future of the prize: Gala and Draw
After the closing of the vote on April 23, the three finalists will be announced. The winner will be revealed during the May 14 gala, which can be followed live at Premium.cat and YouTube, with the subsequent broadcast on VOTV. The event will have the performance of the Trio Mel i Fusta, as well as the presentation of the Young Talent Award of the County Council and the PIMEC Talent and Innovation Award.
Prizes and recognitions
The voters not only participate in the election, but also have the opportunity to win a tasting meal for two at the Restaurant Sant Lleí de Vilanova, as well as a batch of products from EL 9 NOU. In the last edition, the award was awarded to Ramon Daví, a solicitor of courts very involved in the culture and society of Granollers, who has recently retired.
