A new initiative for the inclusion of the elderly
The City Council of Vandellòs and Hospitalet de l’Infant has launched an innovative proposal aimed at integrating the perspectives of people 60 years or older in the formulation of the future Municipal Plan for the Elderly. With the inspirational motto “Your wisdom, our future”, this campaign seeks to gather the opinions and suggestions of this sector of the population.
Details of the campaign and citizen participation
The initiative will be operational between May 26 and July 20. Citizens will be able to participate through an anonymous survey that can be completed on both paper and digital format. This survey aims to obtain a clear view of the daily life of the elderly in the municipality, as well as identify opportunities for improvement in public services and spaces.
Answer collection sites
Residents of 60 years or older will be able to fill the questionnaire at various strategic points such as the Casa de la Vila de l’Hospitalet de l’Infant, the City Council of Vandellòs, and other community centers. In addition, access to the survey will be facilitated through a QR code present in promotional materials.
Informative sessions and accompaniment
In order to ensure that everyone can participate comfortably, face -to -face informative sessions have been scheduled in different population centers during June. These sessions will allow people who have doubts about how to complete the survey receive the necessary help.
Approach to the acts of associations
The Coordinator of Service Services will be present at various events organized by local associations during June, thus facilitating access to surveys and encouraging the active participation of this group.
A commitment to the experience of the great
With this initiative, the Department of Proximity seeks to value the experience of the elderly as an essential element in building a more inclusive and dynamic municipality. The mayor, Assumption Castellví, said that the experiences and knowledge of this group are essential to improve the quality of life of the whole community.
An invaluable source of wisdom
As emphasized in the campaign informative leaflet, “each older person in our municipality has a story, a look, an experience. All this is a source of wisdom that helps us better understand what works, what needs to be improved and what we need to imagine again.”
