Vila-seca celebrates female power with a varied program

El Ayuntamiento de Vila-Seca, en colaboración con varias entidades del municipio, ha organizado un extenso programa de actividades para conmemorar el Día Internacional de la Mujer, con el objetivo de promover la igualdad de género y la reflexión sobre el papel de las mujeres en la sociedad. Las actividades comenzaron el 19 de febrero y se extenderán hasta el 14 de marzo, con una oferta diversa que incluye talleres, charlas, mesas redondas y eventos institucionales, todo abierto al público. A party for equality

The City Council of Vila-seca, in collaboration with various local organizations, has designed a wide range of activities to celebrate International Women’s Day. This initiative seeks to foster equality between genres and invite society to reflect on female contribution to the world today.

Activities underway

The activities, which began on February 19 and will extend until March 14, offer a diversified range of public workshops, conferences and events. Each activity is designed to be accessible to everyone, thus encouraging citizen participation.

Creative and training workshops

Among the initiatives already carried out is the illustration workshop called #Toteslesdones. On the other hand, the Casal de la Dona will host a workshop on food recycling at the El Colomí Civic and Cultural Center on March 5, followed by a talk on empowerment on March 6.

Significant events

On March 7, there will be a lunch dedicated to women, while on March 8, the round table ‘The role of women in the historical societies of Vila-seca’ will be held in the El Fénix Society at 11 am. That same day, the Church Square will host a participatory activity to paint a mural, followed by an institutional event with a manifesto and a musical performance by Lia Sampai.

Cycles of well -being and reflection

On March 10, the El Colomí Civic and Cultural Center will be the scene of a self -care workshop called ‘Reconnecta’t’. This workshop will be repeated on March 12 in La Pineda and on March 13 in La Plana. In addition, a laughter therapy workshop will be held in La Pineda on the same day.

Young and literary activities

The Young Space will also be a meeting point with the ‘Beginning of the genre’ workshop on March 3, a cooking session entitled ‘Recipes of women in our lives’ on March 4, and table games on gender on March 7. The playground, meanwhile, has planned activities related to 8M from 10 to 14 March, while the library has selected a collection of women’s readings.
