Events and activities for Sant Jordi’s day
Sant Jordi is approaching and in Tremp several activities have been organized to celebrate the day of the book and the rose. During the days before and on April 23 itself, the streets of the Pallars Jussà capital will become the scene of presentations, storytellers, concerts and book and rose stalls.
Schedule of planned events
Below, we present the program of events planned for Sant Jordi’s Day in Tremp:
Thursday, April 18
– 7pm: Presentation of the book ‘Tremp a l’época Franco’, published by Efadós. Place: Plenary Room of the City Council.
Friday April 19
– 7pm: Presentation of the book ‘When the siren sounded’, with the participation of historian Josep Calvet. Place: La Singratalla Bookstore.
Saturday April 20
– 11am: Presentation of the book ‘Una vida junto al polisario’, by Lluis Rodríguez Capdevila. Place: Epicenter.
– From 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.: Presentation and storytelling of the collection ‘Then who am I?’, by Alba Jussà. Place: Pallars University.
– From 12pm to 2pm: Electronic vermouth by Punxo Coses. Place: Pallars University.
– From 5pm to 6pm: Children’s workshop ‘Make your bookmark’, by the Ateneu del Pallars. Place: Rola. Dr. Pearson.
– 6pm: Presentation of the book ‘Tres petits mons’, by Jordi Castilló. Place: La Singratalla Bookstore.
– From 8pm to 9.30pm: Expressa’t – Open mic space. Place: Pallars University.
Sunday April 21
– 12pm: Storytelling/show ‘The long journey of the rainbow’, with the musician and animator Noé Rivas and the illustrator Mercè Valentintada. Place: La Singratalla Bookstore.
Monday April 22
– 5pm: Sant Jordi’s Eve at the Library. Story-workshop of Sant Jordi crafts, by Isabel Gomis. Activity for children from 3 years. Place: Maria Barbal Public Library.
Tuesday, April 23
– From 12pm to 2pm: Sant Jordi vermouth. Place: Casal Cultural de Tremp.
– 5pm: Puppet show for family audiences ‘Sòmion’, from El Que ma queda de Teatre. Place: Espai Cultural La Lira. Free entrance.
– 18:30h: Pilar Malfargat, in charge of Malfargats de Pallars. Place: Pallars University.
