A vibrating start with tug trail
From May 1 to May 11, Castellolí is filled with joy and tradition with his Festa Major, which starts with one of the most anticipated events of the year: the Tuga Trail. This year, more than 1,000 people, between runners and walkers, are preparing to participate in this emblematic career, which not only challenges their skills, but also promotes the community with the help of about 50 volunteers.
LOGISTICS I TASTE TO THE META
With special attention to logistics, the volunteers are in charge of the provisioning points and, as usual, will prepare delicious croquettes and sausages that will welcome participants on arrival. Percussion proton music will encourage the atmosphere, making the goal a real festival.
Diversity of options for everyone
The Tuga Trail, organized by Tuga Active Wear and the UECANOIA Hiking Club, celebrates its 15th edition this year, with three modalities for all tastes: the 19 km competitive race, the 11 km tug Half, and the Tuga Walk, a popular walk also 11 km, ideal for those who prefer to enjoy the landscape at a more slow pace.
Activities for all ages
In addition to the sports activities, the Festa Major de Castellolí offers a wide range of activities that cover more than 30 proposals for all ages. The celebrations will continue on Friday, May 2 with the inauguration of a commemorative exhibition that celebrates the 15 years of Teatraulí.
Proclamation and gastronomy
The day on Friday will also include the official opening speech by the Castellolí motorcyclist section, which this year commemorates its 50th anniversary, followed by a tasting of snails, a tradition that cannot be missed.
Culminating moments over the weekend
On Saturday, May 10, the neighbors are eagerly waiting for the popular rice on the sports court, an event that brings together all the inhabitants in a festive atmosphere. On Sunday, May 11, among the many activities scheduled, there will be an emotional recognition at Mercè Mabras, a neighbor who has left an unforgettable imprint on the community.
A gesture for the little ones
During this special day, a gift will be given to babies born in Castellolí during the year, a tradition that strengthens community ties and celebrates life.
Exhibitions and more activities
In addition to festive activities, the program includes several exhibitions that will be open during the weekends of the Festa Major, offering a unique opportunity to discover the cultural heritage of Castellolí.
