A New Climate Cycle on the Horizon
Forecasts by meteorologist Roberto Brasero indicate that Spain is facing a significant change in weather conditions, with a cold front that is leaving its mark on much of the peninsula. This Wednesday, inclement weather will continue to affect several regions, including rain that has already begun to fall in the center of the country and will spread towards Aragon and Catalonia.
Possible Storms and Snow in the Mountains
As the day progresses, showers are expected that could intensify, with the possibility of storms, especially in the areas of Valencia and the Balearic Islands. In the latter, it is even expected that some hail may fall in very specific areas. Meanwhile, the mountains of the eastern half will see snow fall at altitudes from 1,500 meters, with an altitude that could drop in some areas.
An imminent improvement in weather conditions
The panorama will change from Thursday, when the anticyclone will start to gain ground. These high pressures promise to stabilize the weather, although some cloudiness is still expected in the morning in the Balearic Islands and the northern Mediterranean coast. The possibility of rain will remain, but as the day progresses, the skies will clear, allowing the sun to shine in most regions.
The Heat Is Back
After a drop in temperatures on Wednesday, they are expected to rise again on Thursday, especially in the interior of the peninsula. Values could exceed 22º C in areas of the southeast and in the Canary Islands, bringing a feeling of heat more typical of this time of year.
A Perspective on the Future
Although a new front could affect the northwest of the peninsula on Friday with precipitation in Galicia and the Cantabrian Sea, the rest of the country will enjoy mostly clear weather thanks to high pressure. With these conditions, it is clear that concerns about the lack of rain remain, leaving many residents with concerns about the future of the climate in Spain.
