Changes in Weather Conditions

The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has announced the forecast for next week, anticipating conditions typical of the beginning of summer. A predominance of sun and a notable increase in temperatures are expected as the week progresses.

During the first few days of the week, temperatures will remain cooler than usual for this time of year. Despite this, clear and sunny skies will remain, providing pleasant weather for outdoor activities.

From Thursday, a significant increase in temperatures is expected, reaching typical mid-summer levels. A widespread increase in maximum temperatures is expected, with thermometers that could exceed 35 degrees on the southern Atlantic slope and 40 degrees in the Guadalquivir valley, in the provinces of Córdoba and Seville.

As for the minimum temperatures, a slight decrease is expected in the Balearic Islands, the east of Catalonia and Valencia, while in the rest of the country, the minimums will increase, possibly reaching tropical nights in several regions, with temperatures that do not will drop below 20 degrees.

This change will mark the beginning of a warmer period, ideal for enjoying beaches and pools, as well as planning excursions and outdoor activities. However, the AEMET is already warning about the need to take precautions against high temperatures.

Weather forecast for the month of July

For those who go on holiday in July, the AEMET has advanced a forecast with normal temperatures in most of the country, but with a notable increase in heat in the southern half of the peninsula. Sunshine and little precipitation are also expected throughout the month, with fewer than normal convective episodes, which could exacerbate drought in some areas and increase the risk of wildfires.

So, for those who plan holidays in July, you should bear in mind that the sun and heat will be the protagonists. An ideal climate for beach and pool days, but more complicated for sightseeing, especially in the middle of the day.
