Roberto Brasero anticipates weather changes for Mother’s Day
Next Sunday, May 5, Mother’s Day will be celebrated in Spain and many people are waiting for the weather conditions.
After a start to May with cool temperatures and rain in some areas of the country, a change is expected in the next few hours. Even today, Thursday, temperatures will be low in the northern peninsular regions, especially in the mountain areas.
Rain forecasts for Mother’s Day
Roberto Brasero has also spoken about the rains that are expected for this day in large areas of the northern peninsula. They are expected to be more intense in Galicia and north-west Catalonia.
From Friday, a more stable situation is expected, although it will be necessary to be attentive to a new rain front that will arrive from the northwest. These rains will move during Saturday to other areas of the north, especially near the Pyrenees. So, you’ll need to have your umbrellas handy this weekend.
Increase in temperatures for the weekend
Roberto Brasero predicts a hot weekend, with an increase in temperatures. Sunday, coinciding with Mother’s Day, will exceed 20ºC in the north and 25ºC in the center of the country. In the southeastern regions, Andalusia and the Canary Islands, temperatures will reach 30ºC, creating an atmosphere more typical of summer than spring.
So, there will be an increase of 10-12 degrees compared to the temperatures recorded at the beginning of May. Some of the expected temperatures are 24ºC in Oviedo, 25ºC in Ourense, 28ºC in Bilbao, 30ºC in Zaragoza and 31ºC in Seville, among others.
