High temperatures in the Iberian Peninsula

Weather forecasts confirm a notable increase in temperatures in the Iberian Peninsula, especially in the south, during this week. According to experts, high pressure and long hours of sunshine will bring the thermometers to levels typical of the month of July.

Temperatures are expected to reach or exceed 40 degrees in some areas of Andalusia, marking a significant change from the first days of the week.

Temperature variation in different areas

During the first days of the week, temperatures will remain within the usual values for this time of the year, ranging between 25 and 35 degrees in many capitals. However, a significant increase in heat is expected from mid-week, especially in the south of the peninsula, with temperatures that could exceed 34-36 degrees in some areas.

In the north, temperatures will continue to be cooler compared to the south, although there will also be a slight rise. On the southeast and Levant coasts, tropical nights are expected to be a constant, with temperatures that will not fall below 20 degrees, providing a warm and humid atmosphere during the night hours.

Forecasts of the AEMET

The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) confirms that this week presents itself with typical early summer characteristics, marked by a predominance of the sun in most of the territory. A gradual rise in temperatures is expected, starting on Thursday when they begin to reflect values typical of the height of summer.
