A change of course for Xavi Hernández

Xavi Hernández is reflecting on his future at FC Barcelona and is no longer sure that he wants to leave the team at the end of the season. Circumstances have changed and he is now experiencing a period of success and amazing results.

Joan Laporta, the club’s president, is pressuring him to reconsider his decision, which has led to the search for a new coach being halted. This has given Xavi the opportunity to state his demands clearly.

Xavi’s demands

If Laporta wants Xavi to remain at the Camp Nou, he will have to resolve several issues, including the departure of some players and make significant investments in quality signings.

Xavi has requested five reinforcements, starting with Joao Cancelo, whom he wants to retain after his outstanding performance during his loan. Furthermore, he is looking for a left-footed back to compete with Alejandro Balde, suggesting names like Álex Valle or Sergi Cardona.

But his greatest emphasis is in the center of the field, where he considers the incorporation of a high-level defensive pivot essential. Names like Martín Zubimendi, Joshua Kimmich or Amadou Onana are on the list of possible signings.

Bernardo Silva is another request from Xavi, whose release clause of 60 million euros makes him a more achievable target.

The last demand

Xavi is also looking for a left-footed winger to complete the trident alongside Robert Lewandowski and Lamine Yamal. Among the options considered are Kaoru Mitoma and Nico Williams, as well as Serge Gnabry, Kingsley Coman and Mason Greenwood.
